When the winter snows arrive to herald the Ski season, Methven really "comes alive" with Skiers and Snowboarders from all parts of the world enjoying their sport on Mt. Hutt and many of the other spectacular Canterbury Ski Fields like Porter Heights, Mt. Olympus, Cragieburn, Broken River, Mt. Potts, and Temple Basin.
